The Magical Approach

“It is important that you understand the different ways of relating to reality, and how those ways create the experienced events.” - Jane Roberts, The Magical Approach: Seth Speaks About the Art of Creative Living

Before we had clock time, which is a totally artificial invention, we had natural time. The natural person followed his or her own rhythms. The magical approach is based on that:

Our consciousness gets so much information from other realms besides our rational mind: our intuition, our inner knowing, our guides, our communication with the environment… but we have so narrowed our perspective, that we live our life solely from the rational approach.

With the rational approach, things are stuck a certain way. It’s what we’re all taught, because it’s what our society runs by. It’s very conducive if you’re running a world based on factories- where people line up and follow clock time.

Reason is a useful thing, but it’s just the tip of the iceberg. Underneath is this huge body of ice that supports the intellect. So, too, is the intellect supported by this huge body of consciousness that is much bigger than that.

The problem with the intellect is when we put all the eggs in its basket, and it thinks it has to solve all the problems, it starts to spin on itself.

It’s purpose is to differentiate and categorize, and to make sure we’re safe and protected. Now if the intellect thinks it’s the only one with the ability to find the answers, it uses what it can to find the solutions.

But the intellect is limited, because it only has a small part of the picture.

Over and over I can see how, when I live my life from the magical approach, things just unfold! Things will show up completely when they shouldn’t, but they do! It’s so much more fun to live that way.

It’s a big core part of my life.

Yes, it does take courage, because you’re having to go against the norm!

As with any practice, the more you do it, the more you see it work.
